Collaboration: knowledge and preparation
Use research to understand the question, topics to examine mechanisms and controls, and worksheets to organise evidence. Preparation, comparison, site assessment and delivery are connected tasks with distinct responsibilities.
Start with the task and its scope
Describe the process, materials, cycle, stations and simultaneous tasks. State environmental emissions, worker exposure and production safety objectives separately, including what existing evidence supports and what remains unknown.
Research explains a question, operating-condition topics examine control routes, and checklists retain records. Site measurements, engineering and work requiring specific qualifications must be organised for the location and task.
Prepare comparable conditions
Record release points, hoods and enclosures, ducts and cleaning, replacement air, maintenance and collected-material destinations. Keep test conditions beside equipment performance; a single cleaning efficiency does not establish worker exposure control.
Compare interfaces, consumables, shutdown, access, verification conditions and responsibility. Record unsupported parameters or unclear material properties as unknown for competent review.
Move from knowledge to records and site review
Topic FAQs, worker cards and procurement questions help assign tasks. Worker cards use observations from normal safe positions; they do not ask readers to open equipment, sample, smell substances or enter hazardous areas.
Download and complete records locally. Confirm the necessary scope and organisational permission for confidential information. The competent entity performing a professional task must identify its assessment and delivery responsibilities.
